I'm not really a huge fan of Kobe but this commercial for the Nike Zoom Kobe IV is straight comedy. Thanks for bringing it to my attention James! Kobe fans, enjoy!

Kobe Bryant on a horse selling ankle insurance? Random, but it works.

Noteworthy: Slumdog Millionaire

Posted by Jenn On 1:51 AM 0 comments

Hyped up? Yes. Worthy of the hype? Absolutely.
I just got back from watching Slumdog Millionaire in Mira Mesa with TK, Steven, Cindy, and Joe and it was definitely worth the crazy rush I went through to get to the movie in time. The film's somewhat of a tearjerker; at least for normal people who don't have hearts made of ice like myself, who has never cried during a movie in her lifetime. Haha!

Synopsis from IMDb: "The story of the life of an impoverished Indian teen Jamal Malik, who becomes a contestant on the Hindi version of "Who Wants to be A Millionaire?", wins, and is then suspected of cheating."

The movie is loosely based on a novel called Q and A by Vikas Swarup.. I'm thinking about picking up a copy since I'm out of books to read. Go watch the movie!

Mr. Mira Mesa's Birthday

Posted by Jenn On 2:06 PM 0 comments
Friday night was the celebration of the one and only Mr. Mira Mesa's birthday at Happy Sushi. Fatchie is one very loved guy. He filled that restaurant to max capacity.. and each and every person there was there for him! (Photos courtesy of Megs & Ollie)

Mr. Popularity says fill up an entire restaurant with friends? Piece of cake.

Jenn, Anabel and April love Wilfredo Manaloto Santos Jr!

Birthday boy's brother Willy Santos and Megs

We had sake bombs and sushi galore. Annabelle and I ordered three rolls but ended up eating only three pieces each.. probably because our stomachs were full of Asahi and sake!
Annaburger with a side of fries comin' right up.

Megs doesn't eat sushi (?!!) so she and Tristan smuggled some Mickey D's into the restaurant. Annabelle decided to have some fun with Meg's buns. Haha!
A bunch of us ended up going downtown to Onyx to continue the celebrations. There was champagne, sparklers, drinks, and dancing in honor of our beloved Fatchie's birthday.

Apes caught Fatch's quote of the night:
"Let's go! Let's go let's go! The girls wanna dance... and they wanna dance with ME!"
YES WE DO, FATCHIE!

Stripper poles always mean a good time.

TK presenting Fatch with a bottle of champagne and sparklers

Drop it low!

Happy birthday Trips! I hope you had the time of your life.. love ya buds!!
